Our first day of classes went great. First let me explain their classifications.

JR1-1 (7th grade academic group) (If the second number is a 1 then the class is an academic group. The students do not play sports. If the second number is a 2 then they play sports.
JR1-2 (7th grade sport group)
JR2 (8th graders)
JR3(9th grader)
SR1 (10th graders)
SR2 (11th graders)
SR3 (12th graders)

Our first class was English JR1-2. This is equivalent to beginning 7th graders. They were all so tiny...looked mainly like 6th graders. It was a class of all boys. When we walked in several of the little boys said "I love you." It was so funny. The were learning beginning English. It was so cute. I wanted to bring many of them home with me.

Our second class was English SR3. This class was conversational English. The teacher split the students into groups and our students split and asked them questions. All students loved this, especially because these students spoke more fluent English than the others. Many of the Japanese boys were impressing the girls with their magic tricks. Lots of laughter in this class. Hannah was a riot with her groups. She kept them laughing.

Our third class was Math JR2-1. As much as the students were not real excited about going to a Math class, they had so much fun and didn't want to leave. The teacher was so good. We, even Mrs. Johnson, did Algebraic equations...distributing. He taught them to do "missle attack". It was too cute. The students got to work the problems on the board. At first our students were very reserved and then they began to say, "OH, pick me."

We finished the day with PE JR2/3. We played basketball. It was alot of fun. The girls really got into it. This was also fun. We were hot and sweaty by the time with left.

I have pictures but not enough time to send them.
